I was just charged with Assault and Battery in Macomb County Michigan. The Macomb County Sheriff came to my house in Harrison Township Michigan and arrested me. This guy said I punched him in the face after we all went out that night.
What am I supposed to do?
What can happen to me???
Angelena,
Thank you for coming to ALLLEGALMATTERS.com. Unfortunately, being charged with Assault and Battery is a difficult situation. Your case will start with an arraignment, which will come up fairly quickly.
41-B District Court in Clinton Township, Michigan is where the court is located. You are being charged with a 93 day Misdemeanor. This does not mean that you will go to jail for 93 days, it just means that the maximum penalty is up to 93 days in the Macomb County Jail.
We have been extremely successful representing clients at the 41-B District Court in Clinton Township, Michigan. Depending on your record I may even be able to keep this off your criminal history completely.
