My parents purchased a Used car almost 90 days ago and have had nothing but problems. The salesman stated that the car was in good condition and my parents purchased an extended warranty. A week or so after driving it, it kept stalling – they have taken it in numerous times and spent alot of money out of pocket. Finally they had a full inspection done and the costs are well over $3,500. The insurance adjuster wouldn’t even drive the car because he said it was unsafe to drive and the dealership will do nothing to help. Is there anything legal we can do?

This is a Michigan contract law question that will largely turn on the nature and language of the warranty. There are also certain implied warranties that exist under Michigan law. However, there are so many different issues relating to cases such as this you are advised to set up a free consultation with one of the Michigan civil/consumer law attorneys at Canu Torrice Law by calling (586) 285-1700.
