I have 3 drunk driving dui cases over the last 10 year my last one earlier this year in February and I am on probation.  My court appointed attorney didnt tell me that the state of michigan would yank my drivers license for 5 freakin years!   My last case was in Sterling Heights Michigan where I was convicted of impaired driving 2nd offense.  Is there anyway your Michigan drivers license attorneys at your law firm can help me even get a restricted drivers license?  I will do anything to get my Michigan drivers license back and keep it from being suspended or revoked for the next 5 year and have t or any kind a license restoration or appeal the secretary of state in Michigan to gimme my license back again seriously I will lose my job because  cant have friends drive me around all the time!

Like everyone else I know from Michigan to California where I was born I text message and email from my cell phone while I drive.  I know it’s not safe for everyone to be doing this but honestly I am so good at it I don’t even take my eyes from the road.  It’s no different than changing the radio station to me.  What does this new law really mean?  Something is going on here.  I have read people talk about it and say the basics like using a cell phone to send text messages or e-mail while driving will be illegal in Michigan starting July 1st 2010 and that fines will be $100 for a first offense and $200 for each offense after that…but what about using my navigation system in my car?  Does it come with points on your driving record at secretary of state?  My Lincoln MKS allows me to have texts come through the GPS sync system on the screen and actually be read to me by the computer is that illegal now too?  Will auto makers have to change their computers in all these newer vehicles because it’s illegal to use the text feature now?   Seems like a big mess to me, and just another excuse for cops to pull people over because they say they’re texting.  Which brings me to another question, how will they prove it?  Will police confiscate your cell phone as evidence.  This seems like a sloppy law to enforce.

i was stupid the one day and on my way home decided to harass a streetwalker in detroit michigan, never offer her any money, or a ride but i got busted anyway for offer to engage by undercover detroit police… i was worried after looking on this lawyers blog about the mandatory jail time if convicted, so somewhat skeptical how accurate of success these posts were i decided to try calling Paul Zalewski at CTZ Law firm…i am a believer now…he used his connections to skip pretrial and beat my case at trial and i didn’t even have to put up bond yes it cost me 1500 but that was worth it for piece of mind…the cop never showed up so it was dismissed…so i got lucky on both sides, choosing the right lawyer and a nice judge…i thank you very much Paul Zalewski from Canu, Torrice & Zalewski, PLLC / CTZ Law!!!

While camping my 20 year old son had his first seizure and fell into a bonfire. When he began to come out of it, he called 911 and told them he was burned and didn’t know how it happened. The ambulance and police went to the scene and he was the only person on site. He was not forthcoming with what happened and told the police that he didn’t think he was drinking and didn’t know what had happened. They gave him a breathalyzer and an MIP then took him to the hospital. Later that day he had another seizure and quit breathing. I gave him CPR and called an ambulance. The medical report states that he likely had 2 seizures that day as a side effect of his medicine. He had C-Diff (bacterial infection in the digestive system) and had been on 12 medication over a 2 week period. That night was the first he had gone anywhere for many days. My question is can we fight the MIP? How? They tell him its a $190.00 fine if he pleads guilty, but I read online that the Secretary of State adds points to a drivers license and imposes a fine for 2 years. Is this true? Thank you very much for any advice or suggestions.

I am currently prescribed marijuana and I am on probation and I am not allowed to use alcohol or “illegal” drugs. I know medical marijuana in Michigan is now legal and I am wondering if because I have medical marijuana if it is legal to smoke pot while on probation. I know that other people who are prescribed vicodin on probation or oxycotin or any other medication the judge allows them to use. I would think a judge would allow me to smoke marijuana while on probation if it is medical marijuana and prescribed by a licensed physician. Medical marijuana is the law now, do I need to ask the judge to let me smoke weed while on probation or can I just smoke it since I am prescribed the medical marijuana?  Can he throw me in jail if I tst positive for marihuana even though its legal for me to use it medically?   Is that unconstitutional or something?

Can the Michigan medical marijuiana attorneys at your law firm help me or is there anything a lawyer can do to allow me to smoke my medical marijuana on probation without going to jail and violating probation for no use of drugs?

I have a judgment against me and my company for a large sum of money and I have received a subpoena for a creditor’s examation from the plaintiff bank’s attorney at 3rd Circuit Wayne County Circuit Court in Detroit schduled for the next few weeks.  My attorney from the original case where I got the Judgment entered against me abandon me because I owe him 3000 dollars and I am afraid to go on my own.  Will the lawyers at your law firm defend me and attend this creditor’s examination to testify as to assets with me?  What is the cost?  I dont want to get billed $350 an hour like my last lawyer I felt like I was greatly overcharged, no offense to your law firm or Michigan civil lawyers in general, but most people I talk to feel the same way.  Also, I received like a 5 page list of things I need to bring to court with me and all kinds of financial documents, do I really have to bring all this stuff?  Can we object to the laudry list of financil documents like bank accounts, etc. they want from me, I know I owe mone but I feel like I am being harassed.  Also, I may need a bankruptcy attorney.  If I file chapter 7 bankruptcy in Michigan with a bankruptcy attorney will this all stop even though my company is involved?  I need a civil attorney in Michigan who knows the rights of a judgment debtor so I can put an end to this nonesense?  Please give me whatever advice you can.  I don’t feel comfortable going against this attorney alone at this creditor’s exam, he was very intimidating in the case where they got the judgment in Detroit and threatened to ruin me basically after court one day.  I probably need someone equally aggressive to match him.

This was a b*%$*% stop and an illegal search and I KNEW IT!!!  I need a bad ass criminal defense in Michigan attorney to dismiss this case in Warren and it looks like you guys might be the ones.  This a$#^&*$ cop followed me thru roseville and eastpointe and into Warren.  He made up some nonsense that he stopped me because i didnt stop when exiting a parking lot. Then he said my drivers license was suspended when it wasnt!!! He even showed me on the computer screen. He asked if he could search my car I told him NOOOOO. He said he didnt need my consent anyway because I had a suspended license. It wasnt suspended, he searched my car took my weed and gave me a ticket for possession of marijuana and DWLS. He didnt even arrest me. What should I do now???? I have a court date comin up in Warren 37th district court and dont want a court appointed attorney because they dont do s*%$ Ive had them before waste of time.  I need someone to go into court and fight for me not plea me guilty!

I have to go to China and leaving US on business and was wondering of one of your Michigan will & trust attorneys could help me with advice.  I want to make sure is something happens to me my life insurance police (one million dollars) and my other assets like my money will be taken care of especially since I have kids.  Is that necessary or am I ok without a will?  I am sure my wife will do the right thing but I am concerned that with that much money relatives will come out of the woodwork and try to take my life insurance and money and assets I want to go to my kids.  Should I have a will or trust drafted by a Michigan probate attorney, or do you think I am being overly worried about this 2 week trip?  How much does this usually cost in attorney fees?

I hope an attorney from your law firm can answer this. I was in ferndale michigan outside Boogie Fever and received an open intoxicant fo alcohol in a motor vehicle ticket. WHat are the penalties and fines and costs for open intoxicants for alcohol (beer) in a motor vehicle in michigan? Are there any Michigan drivers license penalties for this ticket?  Will I lose my license? It says its a “misdemeanor”, I thought I could just pay it like a normal traffic ticket but Court said no, I have to go to court in front of a judge, I really am not lookin at jail am I?  Seriously, its jus an open beer…i wasnt drunk driving or caught for dui or anything. Can anyone tell me how the bondsman process works in Macomb County Works??? My brothers is in jail at the Macomb County Jail and needs to be bonded out but we dont have enough money to post the bond for his delivery of cocaine charge. Bondsman are talkins abouts taking money and wanting to put a house down for the delivery of cocaine charge. I dont know what to do. My friends are telling me to get a bondsman and my mother will loan us the money. What should I do????

I dont know what to do I was at school and caught with weed in my pocket. it was just a blunt and some zig zags and a little shake but i dont want my parents to find out because they will killllll me!!!!! It was not even my weed then they decided to look in my car that was in the parking lot what a joke. I need HELP!!! I was stupid and hired this lawyer from the yellow pages. He was obnoxious but seemed to ay all the right things.  Hes he kind O attorney that givees attorneys a bad name for being scammers.. I went into his office and he told me how he would get my OWI dismissed and promised me everything. My case is in Macomb County at clinton township court on groesbeck. It is my second OWI. I dont remember the lawyers name I hired but now that lawyer wont call me back about my case. This loud mouth took my money but hasn’t reviewed my police report or anything about my OWI. When I went to court some other attorney came who looked like he bought his suit from Mr. Alans. His tie was undone and his shoes looked like his dog chewed on them like a toy. I thought they were good in clinton township because he promised me everything and told me he was friends with the judge…etc…..a bunch of bullsh##. What am I supposed to do now??? I paid alot of money and they wont call me back!!!!!

2 months ago lost my Michigan drivers license for my 2nd drunk driving and I am gonna lost my frickin job because I cannot afford taking cabs to work any more and cant rely on the bus, is there anyway possible for one of your suspended license attorneys to get my Michigan drivers license back even as a restricted license for work only???  I know my dui or dwi or owi or whatever drinking and driving cases I caught are bad and all but seriously how does the state expect me to live??? I have case for OWI (dui?) for drunk driving in City of Hamtramck Michigan and need an attorney to keep off my record.  I drive a truck have a CDL and cannot have any drinking driving crime on my record at all not even impaired.  I had .11 breath test result and have nothing on my Michigan driver’s license not even a point for a speeding ticket ever.  I made a stupid mistake and I cannot have my career ruined for this dui and it will be unless I find an lawyer to help me out and keep this off my record.  The cop was really cool but I know he noyt the judge or the prosecutor so do you guys think you can help me?  Please and thank you.
