I was driving my car through Roseville Michigan and on my way up Utica Road I was stopped for allegedly going over the line in Fraser. This cop stopped me and was being a jerk. I didn’t go over the line and he started asking me questions about drugs. My idiot friend didn’t know he had a warrant for unpaid tickets and Driving While License Suspended and they threw him in the back of the cop car. They pulled me out of the car and started searching the car. I did not give them consent to search and they claimed they didn’t need it because of something called search incident to arrest. Can they do this? Please help!

I work in a pretty big WalMart-I am a white female and a black manager keeps making derogatory remarks to me-I have made 2 reports and the 2nd finally went to the regional-manager he told me nothing can be done because no witnesses seen it but to let them know if it happens again-this is crazy shit-why other if they won’t do anything-they gave me 1 day off with pay so we wouldn’t be working together while it was investigated-we all know it will happens again cuz he does this to all the other white girls that work there- What should I do???

I have a question that all my friends are telling me about breath tests and field sobriety tests.  I was at a friends house in the city of roseville.  We went from there and drove through Warren to pick up another friend.  We then ran through Clinton Township up Hayes to Sterling Heights and stopped at Dooleys on M-59 in Michigan.  We were driving my car and I got hammered there.  My idiot friends were also drunk so we flipped a coin as to who was going to drive home, and I lost.  I live in Shelby Township so I figured we would all crash at my house becasue there was no way I was drivng back through Roseville.  I was told I was stopped because I didn’t stop completely coming out of the Taco Bell drive through on Van Dyke.  The asshole cop pulled me out of the car in the rain and made me dance around doing these things he called field sobriety tests.  He told me I would lose my license for a year if I didn’t do them.  Is that true?  Also, he made me blow into a pbt and said I have to do that too.  Is that true?  My friends told me that I don’t.  Then he took me down to the police station and made me blow into another breathalyzer machine.  He just grabbed me by the head and tilted it downwards and said BLOW.  I Blew as hard as I could but nothing registered.  Now I think I’m screwed.  I have a paper license and it says something about appeal within 14 days.  What do I do?

My boyfriend and I recently got into a really, really bad arguments and I said some nasty things and everything got crazy and my neighbors called the St. Clair Shores police department. I wasn’t beat or anything but my boyfriend grabbed me and the police made me write a statement and then arrested my boyfriend for dometic violence. He also had a warrant for not showing up to court on a suspended license charge, so now he’s in jail and has to wait to be brought to the 37th District Court in Warren for an arraignment they say, and the police told me he can’t come back to the house because the judge won’t let him contact us.  We have a 4 year old together and I need him home I have to work next week and he’s laid off and now I have no one to watch our boy!

I just want to drop the charges for the domestic violence against my boyfriend because this has just been blown way out of proportion but the police say its not up to me and the prosecutor is in charge now. How is that right?? How can Michigan domestic violence laws be like that? Can’t I just drop the domestic violence charges against my boyfriend because the whole reason he’s being charged is because he grabbed me right?? I don’t get it.

I have been accused of stealing from my Walgreens employer in Macomb County by taking the night deposits, and now I have been fired and my employer says if I don’t make a written statement and confession I will be prosecuted…should I have my employer sign a contact or a piece of paper that he won’t prosecute me if I confess, and will that hold up in court? I’m really worried that if I don’t I’ll be scewed!!!

If I file Bankruptcy does the Bankruptcy Court in Michigan consider the equity of my house in what it used to be worth or do they consider what it is worth today? I have read some research on the means test and if my house in Shelby Township is what is used to be worth than I have like $45,000.00 in equity, but in today’s market I have like $0.00>>>I am trying to figure out if Bankruptcy is for me. Please let me know. I am single but divorced with 2 kids and after having my hours cut back I make like $40,000 a year, but I have like $19,000.00 in cedit card debt. Here’s my problem. I recently purchased a used computer from my neighbor who is buying a new one. When I brought it in to be checked out by a place, they said they found a large amount of illegal porn in the hard drive, and contacted police. Since I bought this from a “friend” (no sales receipt or proof), can I somehow proove that it wasn’t me?

I have a big problem, I still drive occassionally when I can’t get a ride to work, even though my driver’s license is suspended, and I was pulled over by a cop for speeding in Warren last week and given a ticket for  DWLS/DWLR (I assume that means driving with a suspended license or something?).  I wasn’t drinking and driving, and I know my license is suspended but I have to work.  Is this going to ruin my chance to get a Michgan driver’s license now?  Can I get a license out of state if I can’t get my Michigan driver’s license back?  Can one of your driver’s license attorneys help me with my DWLS /DWLR charge?  I am freaking out!

My house is in foreclosure, my wife only makes 30K a year, our savings is amost gone and my 401k is hit up…I’m not sure how this works so please let me know if Bankruptcy will stop this foreclosure until I hopefully find a job?

Also, will my 401k money be protected when filing bankruptcy?

need an attorney for fight bullshit charge in Detroit…i was leaving club with friends and messing around with girl we see outside and it was cop who arrested me of solicitation prostitute tickets says ‘offer to engage’ saying I try to get her to have sex with me for money… They take my car and made me buy back now i have to go to court i want to fight because i did nothing wrong but i know police will lie what can you do to help me…

I just found out that my wife had an affair and that she is pregnant. I have had a vasectomy but no testing has been done for paternity. My wife and I are all but certain that this child is not mine. She has broken off the relationship and is back with me, but the possible biological father thinks that he should have some rights to the child. All I want is to raise this child as my own and for my other three kids not to have any idea that the child is anything but their full brother or sister. Does this man have any rights to this child if my wife and I deny him involvement? My wife and I were living in the same house the whole time this affair occurred.

Earlier this year I received a 10 over speeding ticket in Clinton Township, Michigan, which is close to your attorneys in Macomb County I see.   At the time, I just decided to pay the ticket and accept the points. Now, I have changed my mind. Is there any way that you would be able to take care of that traffic ticket for me even though the ticket is old? Quick question about a traffic ticket in Sterling Heights for one of the attorneys at alllegalmatters.com / CTZ Law . . . is there someplace I can reference to see how many points are associated with certain traffic tickets and offenses?  Just curious.

Also, I did something stupid and just paid a speeding ticket I got about a month ago in Sterling Heights, Michigan, now I received notice from the Michigan Secretary of State about a driver’s responsibility fee . . . is is too late to fight this ticket???  How many more fees are they gonna hit me with?

I have just recently been sentenced on my second offense owi drunk driving in 41-B Court Clinton Township.  My attorney from [attorney's name deleted by Adminstrator] office in Clinton  Township didn’t do a goddamn thing for me, even though they said they had a ton of “connections” in that court, but that’s a different story.

My last offense was on July 30, 2002 and I was just recently sentenced.  One of the attorneys who represented me at the sentencing said my Michigan Driver’s license will be suspended for a year and then I can get it back, but my friend told me I don’t automatically get it back because he went through the same thing.

Can you please tell me how this works?  I feel like I am getting screwed!

I am an auto worker for Chrysler and I just found out today I am losing my job, like everyone else in Michigan. I have about $18,000.00 in credit card debt, about $2,000.00 in medical bills, and my wife doesn’t work. We have a house in Macomb Township that used to have about $30,000.00 in equity in it, but honestly I don’t think I could even sell it for what we owe right now in this economy, and I doubt it would even appraise that high anymore.

My wife and I have been talking about divorce for a year now and it looks like we will be getting divorced. We have 2 kids, 12 and 10 years old. Our savings is pretty much tapped out, my 401K has taken big losses over the past couple years, and we are broke!

My friends have told me it’s time to file Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, and now that I have lost my job I am scrambling to figure out what to do because there is no work in this state. I have no idea what’s involved in bankruptcy and what will happen to me and my wife if we file. Should I file bankruptcy myself or should my wife file too? She has some debt too, but even if we don’t get divorced there is no way we will be able to afford this house anymore and both of our names are on the mortgage together so I am afraid of foreclosure.

Should I wait until I get divorced and file alone? I don’t know if it matters but I have heard different things from my friends telling me to file for bankruptcy and get divorced after and someone else just told me that’s not a good idea. I need help really bad. I have too much debt, no job, and I don’t know what to do.
